I’ve been using this app for YEARS. And for years there weren’t that many ads. You’d get the first one once you hit play, and of course commercials during broadcast, but never to the extent that it has now. Now when you open the app, it plasters you with a full screen ad that you sometimes can’t close because the ad makes the “close” button either next to invisible or so small nobody would see it. Then when you hit play you’ve got the pre-streaming ad that must play. If you leave the app and go back into it BAM hit with another full screen ad. THIS IS GETTING RIDICULOUS. We’re already subject to the broadcast ads, the speaker ads (where Preston & Steve speak for companies) and now this? Give me a break. Otherwise the app has improved a lot from previous versions. It used to just disconnect if you had a break in coverage but it does try to reconnect now which is good. Just cool it with all the ads!!
Generally does what it says, but you can’t just hit play and then turn off the screen, turning off the screen during a video ad stops playback. Sometimes other times it will also stop playback if you turn off the screen unless you force it to restart and then you have to watch even more ads.
Used to love this app, but for the last few months I’ve had to keep reinstalling it despite the updates that have been done. Doesn’t work the way it used to, and always seems to mess up before the bizarre files come on :(
