6000 Words - Learn Norwegian Language & Vocabulary

I really enjoy the daily word. It reminds me to study my Norwegian language lessons. I like the simple menu format.

I feel very grateful for this excellent app, which makes it quite easy to broaden vocabulary in the target language. Only one thing is missing for me, and unfortunately it’s something rather important: the app doesn’t give you the gender of the nouns. Not a huge issue if you’re main goal is reading proficiency, but if you are hoping to write and speak with any attention to grammar you need to know the gender of each word.

One challenge I’ve always had with languages is that most tools are very grammar focused. Which is great, but it’s hard to apply much when you don’t know the words. The visual approach with multiple methods for studying and quizzing yourself make this an enjoyable and effective way to learn words to go with that grammar.
