1/ST BET: Horse Race Betting

It’s like pulling teeth to withdraw money and deposit money, I downloaded the app and as soon as it was downloaded I uploaded money no problem. $50. As soon as I try to place a bet it says I need to “Verify my Identity” that’s funny I never had to do that when I deposited $50 dollars. I try to verify and it doesn’t work. So I have to call customer service. They said I have to send in documentation verifying who I am. I don’t want to go through an entire process just to place a bet so I decide to withdraw my $50 and gamble the old school way. NOPE! I have to verify my identity in order to withdraw. I’ve already put money in no problem so now I have to verify. Finally I verify, then the app says I have to deposit money from a credible bank first before depositing. That’s weird, I already deposited $50 dollars. So I deposit $10 more. Now I can’t take my entire amount until 6 business days go through and then I can take my money. I’m sure some developer will respond saying, “well due to security….blah blah blah” that’s not how most credible and efficiently working betting services work. If I were you I wouldn’t use this and go with better tracks that have the ability and resources to have better working apps unless you have the patience to wait days or weeks to access your funds then go for it.

This app is a breath of fresh air for horse racing fans. You can tell this was created specifically for your mobile and it’s not just a desktop version of a wagering site jammed into a smaller screen. Besides being user friendly the handicapping feature is very unique and that grabbed my attention. Personally I still like to scribble in my PPs but having digital stats and a calculator to add them up in the app where I can also bet is a nice new tool to have on any race day. In a very traditional sport, where a lot of us have been playing a certain way for a long time, it’s nice to see an app like 1/ST BET trying something new.

It’s a great app as it appears clean, easy to toggle between horses in races. It’s fairly easy to place a bet. And keeps good track of your results. One big issue it has is occasionally it will just go to a white screen, at least on iOS. Only fix I’ve found is restarting my phone. Sometimes it works, sometimes it just leaves me on the log in, but there is no log in button to push. This may drive me to stop using this app if it keeps happening. Makes me log in too when I do this, wish app would just open up. A HUGE upgrade would be to put the records of the horses on their information page. I’m left toggling past 5 horse races to get an idea of where they’ve been finishing. Just maybe list the races out when first looking at the horse, then to expand if there’s a video for it. If AUS horse races are on the app, I’d like to see information on them too, not just current odds. (Fine if not there as many other races, but would be nice.) I also never got any bonus that I remember of when I joined, but maybe I did and just don’t recall...just think I’d remember that.
