Starting the service was time consuming and was confusing for the doctors office, prior pharmacy, and myself. I want to say that it took about a month to transfer prescriptions and verification from prescriber. PillPack did offer to expedite medications due to the urgency of prescriptions. Each shipment should include a receipt for HSA and/or taxes, but it’s not provided with each shipment. You have to request receipts, which seems to be a hassle. There is no way to know ahead of time what you’re going to be charged and when on your credit card. You I have found after analyzing my year end records that PillPack is higher for their scripts in general. There are now other providers in my area that are cheaper that deliver for free and you have more control over what’s happening. The service in general is great once everything begins to normalize. The staff is always helpful and friendly. My experience is likely different from the next, but I do like the convenience factor.

I am 100% a fan of having my medications deliver to me instead of waiting in a long line at the pharmacy (I even use delivery for my groceries most of the time!). And amid the crazy times we’re living in and Social Distancing is so important, this is a pretty great system. My issue however is that some medications have to go through a semi-confusing process (such as Ambien) and that newly prescribed meds can take a week or more so I end of having to wait in line for them and hoping that they make my next shipment. However I do really like the packets as I’m really bad at taking my medication all at once before bed, instead of morning and night. The packets are wrapped individually for AM & PM so it’s easy to just open one in the morning before work and then another at bedtime. Plus the CS has been super friendly, informative and very helpful!

I really wanted this to work because the concept is fantastic but I’m still waiting for my first shipment (was supposed to arrive yesterday according to tracking information) and it’s not looking good. Also I needed receipts to submit for my HSA reimbursement so went into the app to download them and could not find anywhere to print them off so I used the chat function to ask for help. I received the same response four times in a row with a link that didn’t work. So I called. The person who answered gave me instructions to use the desktop version. I don’t want to use the desktop, I wanted to use the app that they provided and she didn’t know how so I asked if there was an IT person available who could guide me. No there isn’t and no one can provide instructions on how to use the app… The lack of knowledge is concerning to say the least. I’m currently waiting for an email with my receipts but that doesn’t seem to be coming either. I hope they can figure things out because again, great concept, but the service and app needs some improvement.
