Reviews: What People Think About My Child New Beginnings

I’ve been a huge fan of My Child Lebensborn since 2021, and following My Child New Beginnings has been so amazing! However, there are some issues I’ve been experiencing and hope can be fixed in the next update:
1. The biggest issue I’m facing is that my child’s clothes completely disappear! The more I progress into the gameplay, an outfit vanishes despite me doing constant laundry. It’s like the washer is eating all of them! I’ve spent 600 coins on new outfits and they’ve disappeared too, Klaus is now down to one outfit and it’s super frustrating. :(
2. I’m currently playing as Klaus, but in the dialogue he is sometimes referred to as Karin. Also, in the photos taken of him, it appears as Karin. It doesn’t bother me much but just thought somebody would want it brought to their attention.
3. There are often times where every day seems to repeat and the dialogue does as well. I understand why it can be like this, but it grows to be a bit tiresome after 30 minutes of gameplay and seemingly nothing has changed.
Besides these issues, I’m thoroughly enjoying the game and I appreciate all that the developers have done! Thank you guys!

I will be honest, I hate having to wait 15 hours for more content!! I would gladly pay to gain access to these chapters (like gems in episode) but that doesn’t seem to be a feature yet. I also bought the little recorder/investigator side story which was really fun but pretty short. I would buy more side stories like that. Right now I am just playing while waiting for the next chapter to unlock, which means no real progres is happening even though i’m already halfway through fall. Ali keeps coming to the house with the same dialogue about cheese and chocolate (4 times so far!). There has also been a growing number of events where Klaus just leaves… which would be fine if i had anything other to do then laundry or cooking to pass the time. So far there seems to be much less crafting i can do, which i understand is slightly replaced by the renovation system but renovating costs money while crafting used found materials which was so fun! Klaus also calls himself Karin every time we play Tic Tac Toe. I’m unsure if we get more games to play with Klaus later, but having games as options to buy in the store would be nice. I am in fall and the clothing in the store has not changed to be warmer, he just automatically puts on an ugly pair of pants and a coat. I love this game these r just my small peeves.

I wish I could rate this higher, because I enjoyed some of the stories a lot, and I like taking care of Karin and decorating the house, but I'm really not a fan of the direction this new game took, and there are just way too many other issues that take me out of the story.
The decision to put story elements on a timer with a maximum of 2 charges is incredibly frustrating as someone who doesn't have time to play the game daily, and prefers to binge play on weekends. The original stood out by being a mobile game with a focused, linear story without incessant ads and microtransactions, the sequel feels like just another app, complete with disconnected story chapters, a tedious work minigame that is unskippable and inaccessible to anyone with mobility issues or repetitive strain injury and punishes you with less money if you do poorly, and ads for cryptocurrency and gambling that seem irresponsible to show in a game about mental health. I'm also confused why Karin/Klaus are somehow no longer Lebensborn children, even though you can import your story choices into the game. It doesn't really feel like a sequel at all.
On top of all this, there are so many bugs and typos and text strings still in the game that it feels like early access and not a true release. I have hope that some of these problems will be fixed, but until then I'll be playing something else.
