Rarely write a review, but I love this game. It has kept me coming back, daily, to play events and upgrade weapons. There isn’t much of a storyline, but from the first level, it had my adrenaline pumping. You can’t control your speed or aim, only your direction and the timing of shots. The zombies are always coming for you, often in huge mobs. You can dodge, but . . . When they catch you, they literally tear your innards out. The game itself is well designed, with a variety of side stories and daily events to keep you engaged. Nice graphics, eerie sound effects. There are three possible endings, the best (most satisfactory) of which requires you to complete all challenges on all levels. It seems well balanced, challenging, without being too frustrating. I haven’t played earlier versions of the game, but I like the Netflix version. I’m sick of freemium games that require constant cash to advance.

Overall the game is great - graphics, sound, gameplay, variety of weapons and missions/stories. However, some of the challenges for the main campaign are just absurd, requiring either pure luck or repeating the mission over and over and over to try to find some object that could be ANYWHERE. For example, running through the shipping containers - there are multiple missions in which these containers are next to impossible to find! I've played one mission like 20 times, taking every conceivable path, and I can NOT find the second of the two containers you're supposed to run through, which makes me think it's a bug, and that the second one just isn't in the level. Another mission required me to shoot 8 running zombies - half the time I can't even tell if a zombie is running or walking, but walking ones don't count - I had to repeat that one numerous times as well before I got lucky and killed a final zombie that LOOKED like it was just walking, but the game counted it as running. These kinds of very specific, hard to find challenges should be removed - if you have to repeat a task over and over to rely on luck to complete it, not only is it not a "challenge", but it's no longer fun. What's more, you HAVE to complete all of the challenges in order to see the alternate endings. So I guess that's not happening.. >_>

I was so excited to play this and grateful I have the Netflix version so I don’t have to grind but I physically can’t play this any more because the game freezes at the weapon screen for every single play mode. I can’t click anything, the music and background EFX will keep moving, but I can’t choose a weapon, my inventory is completely empty on the bottom half of the screen, and if I do get to choose a weapon then I can’t choose any boosts but regardless, I can’t click play. Also the companion page will likely open, but I can’t choose any of them. It’ll just be the default dog and underneath it will read “companion name.” I’m getting really annoyed. If I’m lucky, I can maybe get to do the daily challenge, but I would really like to progress with the story. It’s been 5-6 days since I’ve been able to play story-mode because of this issue. 1. I’ve already tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling. I’ve already tried uninstalling, shutting off my phone, and reinstalling. I’ve offloaded the app and shut off my phone and redownloaded. I’ve done every combo you can think of :/
