The app needs fixing, not new product releases. Still doesn’t work with notifications. Like ever. And the ability to connect to networks is terrible. I have recently changed my network SSID. Very simple change and the SSID is one word. My grill connected to this network flawlessly the first time I set it up. I simply forced the network into 2.4ghz only mode and was off to the races. Now nothing has changed in my network other than the SSID and it simply refuses to connect. And you click on the troubleshooting link you provide and it’s a dead link. Completely useless.

I’ve called Grilla grill about the problem a few times. They told me it had to do with 2.4 not 5.0 connection. We have both. So I had a really savvy internet technician come out who set up the grill with a dedicated 2.4 specifically for the grill. This guy knows his stuff. He’s set up whole house, and does internet/computer tech work for a living. A booster is within approx 10 feet of the grill. It worked for a full day, yet here I am back to the same problem of it not connecting. The problem is definitely not my internet. I have no other problems with any other device in the house. I like the grill but the app is useless. So Now I go out every few minutes to check the temperature. Oh, the plug in thermometer which came with the grill is off by 20 degrees. I tested it against a thermapen and a regular meat thermometer.

Like many reviews, the thermometer is way off. If I’d had known this problem before hand I would bought a reqtec. I do have other thermometers to get by but that’s not the point- so don’t bring it up. If you sell a product that’s supposed to be accurate just make it that way. Next it’s the new app update. Well all that opens is a black blank screen, yeah that’s great. Hope this company figures it out because word of mouth is still the best referral program for it against a product. I will say this, I have the silverback and the front shelf is a must have. The grill should just include it.
