V 4.0- accurate and awesome!
We have been using v 4.0 and are pleased to see the level of accuracy esp. with my kiddos mixed accent! (We speak multiple languages at home). This app is such a great idea esp during this pandemic times when parents are juggling work and school at home. The app helps complete the needed reading time with minimal parental intervention! Also my kiddo loves the daily jokes! I love that the app allows the kids to make his independent choice of asking for help or trying to pronounce a word! Thanks for making kids better readers!

Great for regular practice
The speech recognition in this app tracks along pretty well for my 5 year old. I really like that the app plays back the sentence after my son reads it. He will sometimes zoom through a sentence, mis-reading words and the 'replay' helps him to slow down and revisit the words he didn't know. Good for regular reading practice... the game is encouraging and there are a good variety of short stories.

Great for 6 & 8 year old!
My 6 year old son and 8 year old daughter had a fun time reading stories out loud with Reading Racer this past weekend. They especially loved playing the app in "Race" mode. I was impressed that the speech recognition software worked as well as it did. My daughter also enjoyed helping her brother while he was reading the stories.
