Reviews: What People Think About MSK MyChart

So much information from all sources yet glitches remain. Some of my providers haven’t migrated to the current list so I can’t message them. Instructions to prep for a test that were previously available can not now be located.
And I can’t see how to access conversations or test results or other information from old chart. Also can’t access info previously easily found - for instance how to contact IT.
E checkin might be repetitive and time consuming. Signing documents is aggravating - filled in the same info several times before program accepted my signature.
So far- frustrating.

As a patient who’s been to many different hospitals I am familiar with MyChart, what the new platform is based on. One of the things I’ve loved about MSK was the platform MyMSK because of how well I could track my labs and communicate with doctors. I believe MyChart, opened by Epic, will cause harm to patients of MSK. One cannot effectively track labs. Many labs have not been transferred over from MyMSK, so doctors and patients are unlikely to see trends over time unless they do the extra step of logging into both platforms which is unfair to ask of patients and doctors alike. I understand why MSK thought it was a good idea to switch to the universal MyChart, but honestly, it was the wrong move. One of the things that makes MSK great is that it is separate from other hospitals and manages patients in house. This allows for seamless care. If communication is needed with outside doctors, a phone call is made. There is no upside to MyChart and only downsides here. I’m begging you to go back, if I were a donor I would donate to this specifically because I think the other chart improved quality of care so much.

Constantly asking the same questions over and over again for every visit is extremely frustrating. Even after filling out the information on line I was then asked the same questions when I checked in. I was told it was just do to the system migration and that everything should now be in the system. For an upcoming follow up visit I was just asked the same questions for online check in. I can maybe understand a one a year verification but not for every visit. The old system was a lot better. Even viewing test results was easier. You use to be able to go down a list of the results and see what was good or bad. Now the are in categories that contain multiple results and if one test is abnormal the whole category is abnormal. Then you have to click the category to find what is going on. This may be better for the doctors but not for me.
