It will give you a live sound level reading like other apps. It will also tell you what is a "safe" level or what it compares to, like "this is how loud a flushing toilet is" (LOL).
However, you have to record the sound with the app to show the sound level. So, you can't have the sound level run constantly. It runs for 30 seconds at a time and you don't have to save each recording. To save the sound byte you must assign it a "category" (which won't usually make sense but that's what it requires). You can also see a graphical view of recorded sounds.
The best part: NO ADS!!

Downloaded this app out of curiosity and couldn't believe just how noisy my office was - the acoustics are terrible. If you can't concentrate at work, it's probably too noisy. See for yourself.
