This is the best app for indie music fans, the Texas music scene being my true love, this app allows me to at least get an idea of what I need. It's not "perfect," but that's a tall order to ask an app to use AI in an effort to determine walk-ups/down, hammer-on, bends, advanced chord shapes, etc. This app at least gives capo recommendations, and is just MORE accurate than the others. It can be great to try and work with other apps to nail down what a particular tab might be missing, or at the very least helps to get one started which better players can then modify as needed. As you become better by ear you'll know what's right and what's a mistake, usually those short 1/8 note chords are slides or chord variations, but again, you'll be able to figure it out as you grow, so in a way it's helped me become a much better guitar player bc of that small issue. Overall, let's be real... this is incredible, we're so spoiled we expect free, and perfect, apps that only 5 years ago would seem impossible. I wanna give it 5 stars bc of that, but, I think if you all could get it juuuuust a little bit accurate it'd be a 5 hands down. But, the goal I think is an app that can give you at least 95% correct chords, I think we're at about 80-85%.

I use this app for getting the gist of what chords may be used in certain songs and it's alright for that if you're in a hurry. But it's not always accurate and like a few other reviewers have noted, if you actually play guitar and know what you're doing, you will notice how inaccurate some of the chord suggestions can be. The app misses chords frequently and adds chords in when there is absolutely no change at all in the song. If you are looking to play an accurate rendition of your favorite songs on guitar, you're better off finding a detailed tutorial or reading sheet music/ tablature. But if you can work around the bugs and fix the mistakes on the fly then it's not the worst app to have. But don't always trust it for learning a song "perfectly".

Why does this app throw in extra little quarter beat chords that don't fit. Just stick with the chords that are heard in the song. Some of these chords I think are passing tones and the software perceives them as full chords. Fir example if you walk the baseline from a G chord down to an EM then you would play an F# note. I think the softwear hears this note and assigns an Gb chord which really doesn't fit and you don't hear the band makevthus chord change. It's aggravating and confusing to a new student. They don't have the ear yet to know that it doesn't fit and they spend time trying to make these lighting fast full chord changes. Other than that it's a great app.
