Without triple triad this already lousy app is now worthless
Please make triple triad offline you have broken my heart into tiny little pieces 💔
I don't normally bother to write reviews but I felt the need on this one. Triple Triad is a beloved mini game in FF VIII. Easily one of the most engrossing mini game in the series. This app manages to capture some of that but a few points derail an otherwise enjoyable game. 1. Stamina Timer: absolutely ridiculous. I realize they need to make money. But having to wait half an hour for 30 seconds of game time borders on the absurd. That kind of setup is almost a parody of itself. And then, it's essentially a dollar every 30 seconds to play with in app purchases! Whoever came up with this model of gameplay needs to be fired immediately. 2. Online multiplayer: this is where you can really feel the burn of pay to play. Finding a match (which can sometimes take minutes, much longer than the actual match) is only the first agony. Once you actually find someone to play against, they'll have the same 5 "power" cards as the other 95 percent of people who play online. There is almost 0 variety in online play, to the point where it's not even worth the effort unless you've given up sleep in an attempt to farm the power cards. And with apparently no ranking system for online play, you're sure to be matched up against those same overpowered decks over and over, until you've simply given up.
