Reviews: What People Think About Brushes Redux

Rating: 4/5
While I usually draw in Photoshop this is a fun alternative to dragging my whole setup with me while I’m out and about. The brushes are a bit limited and there are a few things to be desired but for a free I phone app I really wasn’t expecting everything that is available on this app anyways.
I do however have an issue with the inability to download the time lapse. I upload most of my work to Instagram and I’d like to show the process if I could but I can’t seem to find a way to download the video. If anyone has found a solution to this issue I’d love to hear it! Otherwise it’s exactly what I expected to get and a little bit more!

It's about time I write a review, since Brushes 3.0 and Brushes Redux have both been so significant in my Art and my life.
BRUSHES 3.0: When I had a bad hip and had trouble and pain standing at my easel or at a table to paint, Brushes 3.0 "bridged" me all the way through surgery and recovery - serving as my main art tool. I used Brushes 3.0 to create hundreds of digital paintings which I was able to print up to a size of 18x24!
Fast forward several years...although I was able to export most of my 3.0 creations, with advancing iOS platforms I lost the ability to access or use the app.
Enter...BRUSHES REDUX: I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (blood cancer) last year (2017), and was inpatient being treated for 108 nights over 8 months. This time, it was Brushes Redux that truly provided me with the artistic freedom to continue creating art from my hospital bed. Now, more than 250 creations later, I still use it frequently even though I'm totally mobile again.
I've even postponed upgrading my iPhone 7+ to iOS 11 since I'm not sure Brushes Redux will work with it - or with iOS 12. If anyone - esp developer- could let users know, it would be deeply appreciated. Thank you for this wonderful app.

I've been using Brushes off and on for years. I took a break away for a while and came back to try out the Apple Pencil and iPad Pro with the new Brushes version. But I'm experiencing a problem that is driving me insane.
When I try to paint with the Apple Pencil, it keeps pulling up the color picker. It does this over and over even when I am painting actual strokes. I was painting a circle and it would just randomly bring up the color picker right in the middle of it. So frustrating!
Maybe there's a way to stop that in settings. I'll have to dig. But so far it's making it way too difficult to paint with the Pencil.
