You would think that an app that you paid $1.99 would run in the background and continue the effect of your lights when your iPhone screen went dark. Very disappointing. UPDATE! I have an iPhone 6 Plus and the screen now stays lit up to keep the App active as long as you keep the app in the main window. Screen will not go to sleep until you turn the app off and I've noticed that my iPhone heats up a little bit, but not to any extreme to worry about it. Suggestion: keep your iPhone plugged in and well ventilated and everything should be fine. I'm happy that I can run the app for more than just a few minutes now. The app does a fine job with the candle effect! 👍

I couldn't find a way to adjust the brightness.

This app only has one color setting, which is a nauseating greenish yellow, you also can't control the average brightness and the lights are set too bright. The actually flicker effect is nice, and you have some control over that, which is nice. This app definitely has potential, but until you can control color and average brightness I would not recommend it.
