I play at most difficult level. I have not caught it cheating yet. I have won just about as much as not. It seems to be very skilled.

Enjoyed Spades and Hearts from Concrete so much that I downloaded Gin Rummy thinking it would be just as enjoyable. Paid the $2.99 to have ads removed but they still pop up from time to time. Most frustrating is AI wins 99.9% of time sometimes getting Gin immediately after deal with difficulty level of Medium. Difficulty levels are not aligned to players expertise at game as cards are definitely stacked in favor of AI. Found that easy level is not challenging at all but medium level consistently favors AI. Very disappointed in this app Concrete. Some improvements to this app are definitely needed!
UPDATE: Jan 1, 2018 - issues mentioned in previous review seem to be resolved. Game is now much more enjoyable. Hearts HD is also another of my favorites from Concrete.

But a good balance of animation and straight game..not overdone. Unlike some other apps does not deliberately deal out high cards first. Strong contender.

Adjustable Scoring
Games in Gin Rummy can be customized to be played to 100 (if you’re looking for a quick game), 150, 250 or 300 (if you’d like a game that lasts a bit longer). Scoring follows classic rules with a 100 point bonus for winning, a 20 point bonus for each hand won, and double points for shutting out your opponent!
Strategy
Do you draw one more card for Gin or risk your luck with deadwood and hope you will not be undercut. Its up to you. Deal and play.
