I haven’t used the app yet but thought I would write a review for the company. Yes they really do take way too much- but have to say they can get away with it too. Parents try to come up with fun fundraisers because our extra ‘stuff’ now a days come from the parents fundraisers in PTA and Foundation. Apex let’s them hold a fundraiser and take some of the work off their plate. Getting the kids excited (mine actually wants to ‘walk’ and participate! Huge for my kid) and collecting the money are big parts to any fundraiser - and they get it done for us. I wish they could take less but there isn’t a company out there around us that even does this. So for now... this is it. Now if we could get parents to just each chip in an extra $20 a month that school is in session... maybe we could not fundraise as much.... but I don’t see that happening either.

My children are veterans of their own elementary school. Since Pre-K, I told them not to fall for scams. Well, it’s 2019, they’re in 5th grade. This is the biggest scam ever! Do not fall for it! For teachers: Don’t listen to your principal about Apex Fun Run. It’s a scam. Advise all the students in the class to not donate to Apex Fun Run. It isn’t worth it. For more info, see the “For Students” tab in this review. For principals: Whatever you do, do NOT invite Apex Fun Run to come over to the school. Trough $1 to $20,000 per lap, they’ll take 60% of your revenue, leaving you with 40%. They also promise you a $50 Visa card to get you scammed. For students: Don’t just donate for the toys! The toys are made in China, when you look on the back of the Apex Fun Run monkey toy from 2018. Besides, remember what I said for the principals. They take 60% of the school’s revenue. As an entire school for my two children’s school, we donate as an average of $1000. Apex gets $600, leaving the school with $400. It’s not a fair share! For Apex Fun Run: Do not keep making scams like this! It is against the law of the U.S. and could get you arrested for 20+ years.
