I love this game. It’s extremely stimulating and expansive for a smartphone game, and I play it a ton. The only problem is the excessively high amounts of energy it takes to clear paths and gather resources, plus the ridiculous amounts of money to purchase energy, gems, etc. I understand that energy systems and micro transactions are part of the ecosystem now, and developers can’t compete without including these, but cut back on the costs a little. I don’t even mind throwing you a couple of dollars here and there so I can extend my play time, but I’m not made of money and I can’t spend as much as you’re asking for to avoid just inching through the game.
The concept of the game is ok and graphics and storyline are decent. However there are 2 main concerns for me. First The system is completely rigged at getting bucks out of the players with no real idle reward (15 min top) and a ridiculous amount of energy needed for each task. So either you pay to get energy (@developers: ratio from gems is bad so either change ratio or increase gems !!), you connect every hour, or you go at a slow pace. I am at the 4th stage and I am done with all construction and updates for the base for a couple of days while I still have at least 50% of the story milestones to accomplish because of lack of energy. So only thing to do is wait for energy bar to recover and move of a couple of inches …. Side note: do the math when you see “free” energy refill behind some obstacles , 50% of the time it is going to cost you way more than the benefit… Second the combat system is not bringing a lot and the builds/balance of the opponents is bad (in which game a tank get one-shot by a Zebra?) Overall not the best investment and certainly not a FTP
Firstly, once the initial energy they give you is gone you can only accumulate 45, which will clear about three things on the map. So you can play for about 10 seconds for "free". You must buy energy with real money to continue play. I'm not against spending to play and I have spent some money on this a couple of times. I'm on the third settlement and in order to complete this level, your heroes need to be up to level 20 or you cannot win the fights but there's no way to collect enough stars to do that without buying more packs. Even after completing the carousel and the water reservoir, which give you free stars every 25 minutes or so. You can get 750 but to even go level 19 you need over 11k. multiply that x 5-7 heroes and you can see the deficit. It will take a month before I can even do another fight if I logon every 25 minutes and collect free stars lol This is 100% a pay to play game. Not pay to advance faster… Strictly pay to play. I will use up with energy that I have and delete it.
