Reviews: What People Think About Dead Cells: Netflix Edition

I don’t have many complaints about the gameplay and the game itself is fun and strategically balanced on how you should approach enemies. One thing that’s an absolute must is when you’re in battle and need to reload your health the hold to replenish is finicky. It should be a simple press because in difficult fighting situations it just doesn’t make sense holding the button while your enemies are still attacking you. Hopefully developers take note to the comments and consider this for their next patch update.

It was such a bliss to have this game for free on my phone, coming from the PC version. I was reluctant to buy the app store version due to me thinking mobile was less of an experience, however those were shattered as these experiences are almost identical.
The game itself is also a masterpiece. I love the unique way they implement a fast pacing through rewarding players with extra rewards. The fast pacing makes the game truly a roller coaster of dopamine for me, seeing all the numbers popping up. The structures in the game is something I am really amazed at. Somehow, I play this game with so many runs, yet, every time I step into a new run, the rooms look completely different, making each run a new unique experience.
For new players getting to this game through seeing it free on Netflix, I can recommend a build consisting of Vorpan, a shield of choices (Assault shied if you get a hang on it), Wolf Trap, and Leg Hugger or any typical damage/effect gadget. This build cannot work unless you have Predator mutation. Vorpan can ensure you a critical hit if you hit while in front of the enemy and Predator mutation can ensure you doing so safely. You can easily preserve your hp due to one-shot most non boss enemy. Using this to your advantage, you can easily unlock the doors after each run, putting yourself ahead with extra cells, money, and health flask.

There are 2 builds I like.
The first one is the dual daggers and an ice blast (harder of the 2 but can deal good damage if strategic). Speed run the first level and upgrade health and damage.
And the tank, instantly get the mutation that decreases health after getting hit. if you get the nutcracker take it as well as any other damaging thing. If you stumble on the bat in a shop and it does around the same get it (it crits more often).explore the entire first area, it’s your friend. Start by getting whatever gives you the most percent health (those power scroll things choose the one that says the highest percent. then once you get to forest start doing all healing tier and whatever helps your mutations on the ones where you can’t. When you get to concierge just throw down your placables and spam hit him (heal if you need. And that’s all a can help with
