ReadToMe – English Listening

I often like to drive and hear something. I looked for so many apps, but some had a subscriptions and they didn’t work how I wanted them to. This was just a great extension that allows me to just simply press the button and it reads my website where I wanted to. The voice and pace is great. I’m so grateful for this application.

UPDATE: After my feedback, the program developer responded and fixed the issue I had brought up. Works very well now. Thank you! ORIGINAL REVIEW: A lot of missed potential. There is no regard to word structure when a chunk of text is processed. Words are chopped in half and tacked onto the next segment of speech. Even a simple 2-letter word might be split in half. For instance, a segment of text that reads “take your daughter to school Monday” might come out “take your daughter T [‘tee’]”…. “O [‘oh’] school Monday.” That simple word parsing improvement would make this a much better text to speech tool. Sadly, it appears the extension hasn’t been updated in a long time.

I was skeptical at first because it only had 2 reviews and I wasn't able to translate what they were saying. However it is only $1.99 so I said F it and I'll just try it out. I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO HAPPY WITH A PURCHASE AS MUCH AS THIS ONE. IT WORKS ON SAFARI AND IM FINALLY ABLE TO LISTEN TO LIGHT NOVEL AUDIOBOOKS!!! THANKS DEVELOPER!!
