Perfect for someone who wants to start an herb or vegetable garden and doesn’t know where to begin. However, you’ll need to stay away from fancy cultivars with different zone tolerances or harvest times. The limited selection of plants is very disappointing, and so is the lack of information for alternate planting times. For example, LSU Ag Center recommends foxgloves be planted as a cool season flower in New Orleans. Not only are there no dates listed for this, but there is no way for me to change sowing to a different date based on local expertise. It makes more sense for me to look up each plant and write down dates on an analog calendar, thereby rendering this well-intentioned app useless.

I expected better than this from a trusted name like Burpee. This app is sooooo slow to respond, and soooo buggy. I’ll press a button and nothing happens. So I press it again. Nothing. Again. Nothing. Six or eight button presses later, spread 10-15 seconds apart, a bunch of notifications will pop up at once because it was delayed so much. It will freeze up so I can’t even scroll sometimes. Interface is not intuitive. Nothing is organized well. It recommends plants on the garden page and when I click them it says not recommended for your growing zone. Then why was it on my recommended list?? I can’t say enough about how awful this app is. Now I see why I deleted it several years ago. It clearly has not improved. They don’t care about this app. That much is obvious.

I’ve liked your products (fruits & veggies) and maybe that’s what you should stick to rather than making Apps that don’t work! Sorry! I usually don’t give such negative reviews but I was truly disappointed! I read some other negatives but decided to take a chance, hoping the app would help me stay on track with planting and caring for my gardens. I can create an account and had no problem with that. I try to add items to plan my garden and it won’t let me browse anything.... it just flashes the screen and returns to the Add Plants page.... can’t work with that!! I’m using an iPhone 7 Plus with the latest update. I also tried it on my iPad Pro with the same result....
