The need to grind levels is annoying as is the fact that as your ships get better they cost so much more. Understand this is a freemium model but so much easier to just stop playing and find another game :|

I have all game noises set to silent, but I can't convince the game to let me listen to my audiobook while I play. I was going to report this as a glitch rather than writing a review, but the page the support link goes to is in Chinese... (I assume because the link is a .cn) The game itself is decently fun, but is has significant downsides as others have pointed out. My biggest pet peeve is there is one ship type that you need to have in front of the others to protect them, but when you have a gap in your defenses and your weak-defense attack-ships are being pulverized, all too often the next defender ship goes to the part that is already well defended, and so does the next and the next... It makes a round that would have been winnable impossible, all because of crappy programming.

In the past I used to be absorbed by flash defenders on the PC, now with the mobile scene it's almost been overdue for a decent defender game to come out that's a little different. This game has decent upgrades, almost limitless levels, and no need for additional purchases. It is an amazing start and I'd love to see a second version with more visual ship upgrades, ( or the ability to look at how the past models have evolved ), and an integrated story into the missions. Hopefully this app will have a successor, if done correctly I'd happily pay a few dollars for it.
