I tried a few other Dutch courses but didn’t find much satisfaction with the mic interface to practice pronunciation. Babbel has this covered. I use an integrated ear bud with an inline mic setup during my lessons on my iPad Pro 10.5 and have no complaints.
It’s a good value and quite educational with anecdotal information such as regional or formality word usage. I don’t have access to televised Dutch programming or courses in my area, so Babbel is helping enormously.

I love Babbel for learning Dutch. I am a little sad that it stops at the A2 beginners course, though. I know it’s not as demanded as the bigger ones like German and French by mainstream media, but it’d be awesome for intermediate Dutch courses to be added. It would be beneficial to Babbel as well because there aren’t many places to learn Dutch outside of the Netherlands besides Duolingo and textbooks. Hopefully in the future they’ll be added.

I've been studying Dutch for about a month now, using the Babbel app as my core educational material. (I do 2 lessons a day, one new, and one review) along with the "Dutch in a month" app and the "Earworms" app, and I am so pleased with the quick progress I have made. I've never felt like I was particularly adept at learning languages, but this has been a fun and rewarding process, and I'm looking forward to going to The Netherlands next month, with this course of study under my belt. My children --ages 8 & 12 --- also use this app, and we all feel that it is a relatively entertaining and manageable way to take on a new language! Prima!
