Seamanship

The hard copy of this manual is so huge, having it all in this app is handy. You can search and look stuff up quickly, I sometimes use it like an index for the real thing but that really isn't necessary. The whole manual is here.

I was disappointed since the the only function you can do with this "app" is turn the pages. Like some other reference apps in the App Store it's short on functionality and long on turning hardcopy reference material into electronic form. It would have been nice to at least have a chapter quiz built in or a bit of animation for some of the subject matter. On the plus side the text and graphics are easy to read and navigate. In sum; three stars since the information is interesting and useful even if you aren't a Coastie.
