I agree with the several positive reviews. I gave this a 3 star rating because it could be improved on, but if you've been struggling with the built-in browser, download this app! I was hoping Marantz firmware updates would improve their built-in browser, but no. I only use the app for my backyard zone so I have not checked out other features of the app.
Positives: better interface, easy zone selection, easy input selection and easier volume control (this alone was worth the download!). I've checked inputs I use regularly such as Pandora, FM, and AirPlay and had no issues.
Negatives: occasional freezes (but the built in app had the same issue), and occasionally loses connection to receiver. These are infrequent enough to be a nuisance as opposed to a problem though.

Ok. As an member of the industry, trained with CEDIA, and an Authorized Marantz Dealer, I have got to say, Are you kidding me?
There is in no way any justification for your reviews of the Marantz line of products, or the app, to which the Pandora issues are concerned. Marantz has no hold in Pandora, similar to Yamaha, Sony, sonos, or any other amplifier manufacturer who integrates the API features of Pandora's streaming service. Get real, keep a technician on staff to prep for an update to Pandora's or other streaming services' API? Who's going to pay that technicians salary? You the purchaser? Doubtful.
Don't forget the fact that Pandora may at any time just pull the plug from Marantz, or anyone else for that matter, and the fact that they are pushing out updates as fast as they possibly can, for every model that they can, should be a testament to their dedication to customer satisfaction and enough to satisfy you, the user. So in the meantime, go outside and take a walk, or use the radio for a couple days, or download the firmware update and get your boogie on. You're ridiculous, your "I want everything now, for free" attitude is disgraceful and you have no right to blast the Marantz name because of another software platforms changes to their services.

I’m updating this review. After the latest update it crashed upon opening. I later learned that if it’s synched via Bluetooth before opening app it won’t crash. This is something they should fix, but other than that I have to say that I’m back to really liking this app. It’s very powerful and full featured. I can do it all from this app on my iPhone or iPad. It can take a little time to really become comfortable with the app because it’s so full-featured, but once you do it’s GREAT!
Here’s my previous review...I liked the app before this latest update. It wasn't the most intuitive app but it was very powerful and functional. However, since the latest upgrade a week ago it is totally useless. Instantly crashes on both my iPhone and iPad. Please fix. It’s like you did not provide any quality control whatsoever.
