Reviews: What People Think About Athlete's Diary

It's tough to find a training log as customizable as paper & pencil, but this one finally fit the bill. It logs all the pertinent info, totals it, is searchable, has plenty of space for notes & route info, & allows for many differnt sports. The biggest plus is the ability to download/upload btw iPhone & computer (works with separately sold software - unfortunately extra $$, but worth it for bigger picture & alternate info views). Graphically this app isn't very good looking compared to others, but I got over it. Also, it doesn't allow for a training week's totals to start on Monday (Sun only)...but the developers promise that this is coming in future updates. An expensive app, but really the only one of its kind...very worth it.

This app does not sync with Dropbox as advertised, despite two months of promises that it will. Otherwise it would be great.

I've been using the Athlete's Diary for a month and have been very pleased with the app. I use this daily as a journal for my daily runs. I needed a log app that catered to my training (regular training, intervals, racing) and detailed the distance, time, pace, total runs, etc. Many of the running log apps were lacking in functionality even though they have the capability to track the runs via GPS (iPod Touch or iPhone). I don't run with my iPhone and heck I have even put the watch away when I'm running my regular 10 to 14 miles runs. For some of us, we already know our running routes so I know how far I'm running. The time and pace feature is really important during the days I run my interval workouts or run races. This app is not just for runners as it allow you to customized the type of training so swimmers and cyclist can use this too. It's actually a multi-sport journal. This was the one app the I wanted on the iPhone and I waited patiently when it was first announced that the software would be ported to the iPhone. Simply the best and oh I stop using my running log in my macbook and have been using the Athlete's Diary as my primary running log.
