Reviews: What People Think About time:calc

Rating: 3/5
It pains me to write a negative review about an app I have loved so much. This app is fantastic in terms of its functionality. However, with a recent update, the user interface is so difficult to read and see that I want to get out of the app as soon as I can. Rather than having buttons and having those buttons be a different color than the surrounding area, everything's just white (except the equal sign). I wish that people would stop wrecking perfectly good apps to try to make them look "flat". The result is something that is not easy for the eye to process. Before this change, I would have rated the app 5-stars. I hope that they will modify it so that it is easier to read. I think just making the buttons a different color than the surrounding area would probably be sufficient.

I use it every week to tally my work hours, no nonsense. They keep it up to date and make sure any features added along the way don't get in the way of its primary function - adding units of time quickly. (Dealing with clock time? Subtract your starting time from 12:00 first.)

All I wanted to be able to do is know quickly and easily, if it's 2:37pm, and I worn until 1:15am with two breaks of 25 minutes and 12 minutes, how much total time I worked. A clock calculator. This doesn't even do that. The interface is flat and clumsy. Waste of money. Even if it can do time editing for A/V. No support either despite all the apparent functionality, their support website is down.
About time:calc
time:calc 3 for iPad and iPhone is a calculator that works in time - this is ideal for calculating working hours, quoting for jobs, flight times, cooking times etc. It’s also ideal for video and film editors as it can work in standard and custom timecode modes.

If you want to calculate your working hours and you started work at 9:08 and finished at 11:53, then type in 11:53 - 9:08. time:calc will tell you that you have worked 2 hours 45 minutes.

If you are editing video need to know 18:23:32:18 + 8 minutes 3 seconds and 12 frames, simply type 18:23:32:18 + 8:03:12 and time:calc will tell you to look at 18:31:36:05 (in this case working at 25FPS). Industry standard and custom frame rates are supported. Memory keys are also handy if you are working with constant offsets and timings.
