Zombotron Re-Boot

I love this game, played it for ages on flash. Now tell me why, unlike virtually every game with ads, this one completely forces you to watch them regardless of your willingness to pay for their removal!? This would be a 5-10$ game, and well worth it, especially if the devs keep adding levels but I don’t see any option to remove them whatsoever! The game is genuinely fun but it forces an ad after every death or level reset, meaning if you are trying to get through a hard part “complete this level in x seconds” and die/screw up, it’s genuinely faster to JUST EXIT THE APP AND COME BACK!!! Completely ruining the gameplay loop! Absolutely infuriating. I despise these mobile “game” ads with every fiber of my being.

This is one of those classic flash games I keep thinking about the most. I remember spending a good hour or so at a time grinding away at this game during middle school, and since the death of flash, I’ve been unconsciously hoping to see it again someday. It’s a very welcome surprise to see it again in all its glory. Just good old fashioned side-scrolling, dungeon running, zombie killing fun, and no ads to be seen :) I do have a small suggestion though, in terms of customization? It’d be cool to see if we could change the colors of the armor and/or helmet models. That and controller mapping support. Other than that, thank you guys so so much for bringing back this classic! It’s a nice breath of fresh air from all the trash that’s blanketed the mobile gaming market lately. Keep it up!

Long ago, I remember killing time in class one day looking for a game to play & I stumbled upon this game called Zombotron. I became hooked with the art style/game immediately and played all the other web games by this developer. Eventually though, this became just a fond memory of something I could never replay since websites removed the ability to play flash games years ago. As fate would have it, I learned the dev plans to remake the game for phones at some point & so I follow him on twitter for updates as to when it will arrive. I can finally say this is a perfect translation & port of this game many have not played, I highly recommend this to anyone reading this review!!
