What’s the deal with this watch app? It disconnects in the middle of workouts, making its functionality completely useless. I’ll give it a week of testing, but if it doesn’t start working will be returning the treadmill since this functionality was the main reason I bought the treadmill. Any response from Technogym would be appreciated…

UPDATE TO MY ORIGINAL POST: The app actually works great. What I was missing is giving access to my Health data to this app in Apple Watch privacy settings. More specifically access to my heart rate. Everything works perfect now and I can see my heart rate. I’m surprised that the app does not guide me to that step. It just terminates workout. I only knew about the option because I’m advanced iOS user. The developer should modify the app to tell user about this necessary config change. I suspect that some of the problems reported here might have something to do with this. MY ORIGINAL POST: Just got brand new MyRun threadmill. Everything works great except this Apple Watch integration app. The app seems to connect buy it does not display any rate and the iPad app claims “attention the heart rate is not detected” and stops workout after like 2 minutes. I hope that Technogym can fix this bug soon. Apple Watch integration was one of the top reasons to purchase the threadmill. Worse case I will have to buy a separate cardio monitor but I would rather have Apple Watch working.

My set up: MyRun (gen 4), Apple Watch Edition (gen 4) and iPad (gen 5). All apple devices have the latest OS updates. I have had the set up for a few days now. Everything seems to connect and run smoothly on the first try. However, (and here’s my request) a complication shortcut would make finding the app on my watch and setting up the connection a lot faster. This really should be an MVP feature as connecting the watch is the core functionality of the app.
