App Profile: Cozy

Ensuring occupant comfort level and improving energy efficiency are important for any indoor environment. This Application has been developed by researchers at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) as a proof of concept for understanding comfort levels of users who are within the campus.

Users of this app can indicate their comfort level, e.g. are they feeling hot/cold/comfortable, how’s the lighting and their mood (to understand if they are happy in their environment) by clicking on emojis and choosing from one of the options presented to them. They just need to specify the classroom from where the feedback is provided.

No personally identifiable data is being collected. Users can use it with the assurance that their responses are completely anonymous and cannot be linked in any way with them.

Data collected will be used for enhancing occupant comfort level and energy efficiency of the premises.
