The first thing you should do is give us a thumbs-down emoji so people can signal both agreement and disagreement without constantly succumbing to the impulse to interrupt and speak over each other.
I think that will go a long way towards cultivating the sort of dive bar atmosphere this app is striving for in an organic fashion.
Please don’t capitulate to the requests for live chat or simultaneous text, or you’ll just be an insular version of Twitch.

Really fun app to have - it’s like having short group calls with all of your friends whenever you want. Super easy to create and join rooms.
I feel like it’s better than Clubhouse because of how casual it is. Clubhouse is too exclusive / professional. Soapbox is where you can go to hangout with your friends.
Definitely a way to stay less lonely during quarantine! ✨

I love soapbox! With the developer of the app being black i had to support! I like the fact we have the reaction emojis and can share links and watch movies together as a group. Also Dean, the developer, always has a listening ear and is open to criticism and suggestions of the app! And pops into the rooms daily to say hello. The app has much potential and can’t wait to see it grow.
