There’s no using it unless you start the 3-Day free trial. I downloaded it knowing there would be in-app purchases offered. I figured there would be some time to play around and try the app before having to pay for their “premium” features. The app immediately asks for a review (before ever fully starting up) and then every feature requires you to start the free 3-Day Trial Subscription. It’s $12 a month if the subscription continues and goes to weekly billing. I’m not a fan of signing on to a trial that will automatically renew if I can’t even try the basic features.

I have an LG smart TV that recommended this app. Upon installing it, I learned it wouldn’t work unless I got the $5.99 version. This seemed a bit pricey, bit I gave it a try. The little smartcast icon appeared, like it was looking for a TV to connect to, but never did. My settings on the TV were all correct. The little circle just went round and round endlessly while the app hunted for the smart TV 4 feet away. I have uninstalled the app and considered my money lost. I’m unimpressed.

I was looking at app and when I clicked on the screen cast and hit the screen cast icon to see about screen mirroring, it said premium. The premium is $5.99 and I didn’t want it so I hit cancel and it dinged and said thank you for your purchase and charged my saved card on my computer the $5.99. I probably wouldn’t have cared as much but it would never connect so 1) I’m not paying for something I didn’t authorize and 2) the service didn’t work.
