Unlike Apple’s default dictation, the limitless recording time and saving audio with the text, (allowing later correction with dictation as a guide) make this now my “go to” dictation app.
It could use a better filing system with folders, Tapping on the name of the file should open it, not ask for a rename. Re-opening the file to continue recording seems clunky and there seems to be a limit on how large an audio file I can import.
I also put in a feature request for lowering audio quality after transcription and adding “pause during silence“, and the developer seems to be pretty responsive, so looking forward…
Would give it 4.5 stars if it were an option.
All in all, very grateful for this app for its basic features which make it far more functional than other transcription apps I’ve tried.

Great app. The accuracy of dictation has been getting better as I use the app, and with effort on my part and better mic placement, would improve more. Timestamps are helpful sometimes and can toggle on/off as needed. Easy to export either or both audio/text files to computer.
The most important feature is that this app does not save to Cloud or "listen in" on your files. It's local. (Apple /Tim Cook wants to be recognized for privacy preservation for its customers but does not require app developers to state whether local or automatically saved elsewhere up front, nor require them to offer local version.)
If this app allowed me to create a dictionary of words based on my pronunciations that the app would recognize each time, that would be stellar.

I purchased this app today because I had a very important interview that needed to be recorded. I hit record. An hour later after a very lovely conversation with my subject, I looked at nothing but the first 13 seconds recorded. Why? Because my phone dimmed and apparently the second you’re not directly in the app on your phone it stops recording. Don’t go to a different app while recording either because it will stop recording. I had one chance to get this interview and now I’m scrambling thanks to the fact that this app needs to be babied at all times. Now I look like an idiot because I have to email all the questions that were answered to the subject and hope that she’ll answer them. Again. This app 100% let me down tonight.
