Great idea for an app, but definitely needs some refinement: 1) dark mode compatible. a great option, but not super important 2) widget functions. being able to see your schedule for the week on your home screen without having to log in and out of the app would be fantastic. opening the app would allow the widget to update if there were any changes made, etc. this would bump my rating up to 3-4 stars solely because of ease of use. (refer to #5) 3) opening screen. the ability to change “standard view” whenever you log into the app. in essence, when i open the app the first thing i would like to see would be my schedule for the week. having the option to customize the opening screen would be very helpful 4) log out issue. if i open the app in the morning, and as long as i don’t close the app out on my phone, i would like for it to keep me logged in. having to log in every 10 min or so because of the time-out feature is very annoying especially when cell reception isn’t the best. 5) calendar sync. having the ability to copy my schedule for the week onto my iphone calendar (if widget options aren’t available, ie. #2) would create a better ease of access.

I would like to be able to add a profile picture and see other people’s pictures. If we get new employees, it could provide an easier way for them to become aquatinted with everyone and at least have an idea of who their coworkers are. I also wish that we would get more notifications from this app. For example, if a manager posts a new schedule, or we have a shift change, or our time off gets approved. Maybe even a notification that we have upcoming shifts. And I think we should be able to adjust and choose which notifications we want in a settings component. I think this app could also benefit from a messaging option between the employees and manager. This would provide an easy way to connect with your coworkers and ask if they could swap shifts or cover for you. When I first started working at TSC, I didn’t know anyone and felt intimidated to ask for anyone’s contact info. Creating a messaging option would allow for employees to easily communicate when not at work, without the stress of someone having your personal phone number.

When I log into this app, I write down my schedule, then make plans for the following weeks based of what I have scheduled. Not once but TWICE now, I have gotten screwed over because my schedule got changed and NOBODY TOLD ME ABOUT IT! It is absolutely absurd that I should be inconvenienced or should have to inconvenience anybody else that I had made plans with because of this. I understand that sometimes things change but the very least you could do is INFORM ME that you have added an extra day to my work schedule so that I’m not say out in another county 2hrs away when I get a call asking where I am, or perhaps having to move a scheduled event such as having the breaks replaced on my car because all of a sudden I have to be at work!!!
