So I’ve been using this app for some time now. Been a paying user for most of the time. Really enjoy using the app. The most recent update makes the UI look better, and added in a much-needed ability to hit the “back” button if it’s taking too long to connect to someone. It was really obnoxious having the close and reopen the app when it was taking too long. So that’s really nice. The friends list thing is nice as well, so good job implementing that. Couple new bugs though. It no longer shows when someone leaves a conversation. The conversation just hangs in limbo. It’s a little annoying. And the scrolling on your messages page hardly works. I find myself having to delete conversations just to be able to open conversations toward the bottom of the list. So if you could address those two issues, the app would be in good shape.

The iPhone version of this app has seen many improvements over the last year, but it also has critical bugs. What’s the point of skip and accept buttons if you can’t see the messages that the stranger is sending without first tapping accept? There’s still a bug where every so often a chat with a stranger will suddenly end after you press the button to send a message, which has persisted for months now. More recently, a bug was introduced where, occasionally, tapping a notification to open a message from an added user will cause the message to vanish completely. I have been a paying user of this app for 10 months now, and by far my biggest disappointment has been the lack of a competent iPad app. There is absolutely no proper support for Slide Over or Split View, which is absolutely an abomination on my 12.9 inch iPad Pro; it is ridiculous that I have to have Chitter use up my entire screen to even work properly, not to mention the lack of usage of a two pane view controller like other messaging apps. Because of these major faults, I don’t have the iPad app installed on any of my iPads, and I have severe doubts about the ability to use iCloud to sync my existing chats between my iPhone and my iPad. Any update on this would be greatly appreciated, would bump this review to at least four stars (pending those other bugs being fixed), and help me to feel like I’m not being ripped from my money every month.

Most of the conversations start with “M 17” or “F 20” which just means they’re age and sex. If they don’t like your age they leave the chat. So the next stranger I began the conversation with “Before the whole sex and age thing do you like scary movies?” The conversation went well after that. During a conversation you can request the person to be your friend. However, towards the end the other person couldn’t see my texts or vice versa. I would get actual notifications on my phone but when I clicked on the app there was nothing. I went to the support part and sent multiple msgs but nothing. When you get the app, it only asks your sex and name. So there’s no real part support can contact you, except for in the app. I don’t want to erase and start all over because I liked this friend I met. The problem is, I can’t talk to them anymore because the app won’t let me :/
