I rarely actually write a review for apps, if that tells you anything right off the bat! I love word games exactly like this one. The main problem I run into is when my chill puzzle mood is ruined by a sudden interstitial ad. I got this on a promo where I could turn off the interstitial ads for free — and within five minutes this game became my favorite of the genre, and my favorite on my phone. There are still banner ads at the bottom of the screen, but those are unobtrusive and don’t disturb my mindset. I’m happy to still provide some income for the developers for providing such a great game; they respect my experience, and I appreciate that. The music is very relaxing, and the sound effects while playing only add to the experience. Overall, a great game to chill out, relax, and gently stretch my brain with. I have a feeling I’ll be playing a lot of Word Cities in the future! Many thanks to the developers! :)

Recently started crashing after I watch a point earning video. So, no points earned..... Didn't have this problem with the spinning wheel point earner. *Update.... No longer having an issue with crashing so thanks for that. Just wish you'd bring the spinning wheel back to earn points. Takes way too long to watch enough videos to earn 1 clue. Other than that, I really like the game. *Update2... After about 200+ levels the game/words have gotten so complicated it's necessary to constantly use hints. I like a challenge, but the fun factor had gone out of this game. Deleted it.

This morning all my gems disappeared but a few! WTH?!? The “hint” button is right by where you swipe the letters, and I keep hitting it accidentally. Very aggravating! How about adding a confirmation? That would help a lot! I can only guess that’s what happened, but I didn’t notice a new word. It’s basically a good game, despite the issues - thus two stars, not one. It’s fun, and I do enjoy playing - except for the aggravation when I brush that button and lose all my jewels. Even knowing it happens, I still hit it. This shouldn’t be a manual dexterity game! Many legit words aren’t accepted, not even for bonus points. Also, the correct words don’t appear in alphabetical order, which is confusing. Bugs keep popping up, too. First review below - had to use a bunch of jewels to get past that level. Since then, more strange letter issues, such as when I open the app, letters are on top of each other. That is fixed by closing the app and reopening. The below issue was not, unfortunately. Extra space/not enough letters! I was enjoying this game, especially with no ads (recent promotion) - but when I got to level 9 in Buckingham Palace, I couldn’t complete it because there were six spaces but only five letters! Can't use a letter twice. Not cool.
