Reviews: What People Think About FilmPad

I really like the app. I’ve been looking for something to log in my photos and keep track. It would be really nice to be able to input the actual photo afterwards so I have something visual, not just the settings. Once that’s a possibility, I’ll be 100% sold on this app.

I sent an email to the developer, came back as undeliverable. I guess I’ll post my comments and frustrations here. What I like... - The sliders. I don’t want to type shooting data, so the sliders are brilliant. - Compensation slider - Location field - Logging the lens used pet shot What I don’t like... - Your lens data seems to be lost after you finish a roll and view it from the archived folder. Why?!?!?! What’s the point of loving this, which is important to me, just to have it all disappear after you finish the roll? - You can’t edit data after you enter the shot. From what I can tell all you can do is delete that shot and log the correct details. This is annoying and even more annoying when you need to delete an earlier shot and the app makes you delete the more recent shot before that one. Again, why? Am I missing something? - You can’t finish a roll until you log shot 24 or 36. I don’t always get to those numbers for a variety of reasons. There should be a button to end the roll no matter what frame you’re on. - Can’t export the completed rolls. Update March 10 - Just logged the last frame for a roll. Realized I made a mistake, edited the notes for last frame, tried to save, app crashed and dumped the entire roll’s data. I’ll never use this app again. Lowering rating from 3 to 1.

This app functions extremely well and is the perfect solution, one that I simply couldn’t find at first. My only real features request would be to log GPS coordinates instead of map location names and to provide some way to export the data in a CSV or something similar. But no complaints honestly. If you wanna log film information moving forward this is definitely the app to do it with.
