Ehhh

It’s pretty good if you really understand things but the thing I don’t like is it does not really make sense for me because they just give you information that you expect to memorize. Another problem is if your supposed to type something like ‘eggs’ it does not really show what your supposed to type but only in the beginning. Things that I do like about this app is they at least try to give us information about coding then you just doing it which will help. What I also like is you do not need a email, profile, or to be giving them your information to be able to start coding! The last thing I like is that they give you short mini quizzes for all the stuff they taught you which will help you see what you are struggling with. So overall I will give it 3 stars since there was 2 problems but over all it was a nice app. I also did a mini paragraph since I’m rushing. 🥵

So far so good!

I’ve tried learning python in the past. I’ve learned most of the fundamentals & this has been great review. Sometimes it’s easier to figure things out when you have clues (like multiple choices) to help find answer (on your own) easier & eliminate some of the frustration from varies failed attempts at figuring it out in your own. Even though I admit, the failures help to create better character, but sometimes when need some help. Anyway, so far the app has been great! I am reviewing because this app is free & it deserves at least an honest rating.

Really great in teaching the fundamentals

Usually when downloading an application, I like to look at different viewpoints that other people had on the application. Once I downloaded the application, I honestly wanted to see all that this application had to offer. Although I already know how to program in different languages, I wanted to see how this application can help me jumpstart my programming language pool with JavaScript. Honestly, I am mind blown with this app. I ended up taking the long route and starting from the very beginning when opening the app just to see how Grasshopper would navigate me through the path. I recommend this app to anyone that is curious about JavaScript whether you’re just a beginner, or you want to refresh your memory on some concepts. Grasshopper will teach you what is necessary in an organized fashion. Reading the few reviews that gave this app a bad review stating that they learned nothing completely missed the fact that this application teaches you the proper syntax for JavaScript. While this application does focus on more drag-and-drop mechanics, it shows you how to think logically.
