This app is original and innovative. A completely new and improved way to interact with news and important events in your social sphere. I also love how visually pleasing it is, despite it being an app built to engage with text . It’s such a great way to collect those articles you want to save for later or even those ted talks that you want to revisit. I will definitely use this in my day to day life and recommend to anyone who is looking for an efficient, organized, and aesthetically pleasing way to share news .

You would think that a basic thing you’d want to do before putting an app on the App Store is make sure it actually starts up. The app asks for a lot of information to start with, including your telephone number and name. Then it asks for a short bio and a handle that you want to go by in the app. But after you put in the handle and tap next, it goes to a screen that shows a girl looking through a telescope and just hangs there. Nothing happens. Restarting the app just goes back to the initial screen where you choose to sign up or sign in. So basically it’s not usable. I’m still not clear on why this app needs my phone number to start with. But that’s basically all I’ve managed to do, give away my phone number and name to some app developer.

Saw TLDR when it was featured on the apple page and it has become one of my favorite apps. I typically use a lot of Reddit and twitter to follow and find interesting articles and posts but TLDR’s community is really like nothing else. They also share way more interesting stuff and I’m always finding great articles and having thoughtful conversations where I can’t find elsewhere.
