First of all I love the app. It’s helping make my stories more inclusive. But the quality of the videos seems poorer and sometimes it takes too long to use. It’s not very convenient for longer videos. Some features of of other apps that I love is that they save a draft of the video in the app itself. Also direct sharing to Instagram as a story or post, as opposed to the way it’s done through the iOS share sheet. Also the ability to caption already made videos would also be a lifesaver. Sometimes I forget to use the app. Overall this is an A+ app!

I originally downloaded this app thinking it would help my business by being able to put text captions on my existing videos (I record them on a professional camera and then edit through iMovie). After downloading the app and spending $5, I realized that it doesn’t give you the option to upload a video. So it has to be recorded on the app.
When I tried recording a video through the app itself, the text styles it offered were all cartoon like. I just wanted a simple professional style font, like Arial font. They don’t just offer one small standard font, they are all huge or have weird fonts that aren’t professional.
Lastly, it doesn’t connect to or integrate with other apps. Meaning I can’t just open the Instagram app and start recording a story with captions on it. Everything has to be recorded through this app, saved, then forwarded to social media apps.

The in app camera is awful. A side by side video test shows completely blown out white balance especially.
You can only record in app so you can’t upload previously recorded clips and as mentioned before the camera in the app is awful.
Text placement is not ideal. Extremely limited options. No adjustments can be add for placement or color. This seems so odd and font choices are not professional. I can’t believe how limited these options are.
After you record a clip, you won’t find it in your camera roll as last video. It gets marked as being 50 years old by some weird quirk so you’ll have to go to the beginning of your camera roll which is very annoying especially if you have a lot of photos saved.
1 star only because audio transcription was fairly accurate. Still needed some correction but better than average.
Please let us upload previously recorded clips if the in app camera is going to be such garbage and let us have some professional and not cartoon looking fonts in better placements. You’ve been seeing this same feedback for a year already! Where are any updates people are asking for?!
