So first off I wanted to start by saying this is not the first fully customized foundation app I have tried before. I tried the one called "MatchCo" and it was such a far cry from being made "exactly for me." The shade was way off from what my real skin tone and the app was confusing and hard to use. This app is SO MUCH better and easier to use. If this foundation really does match, this is incredible and Bare Minerals will be the first brand to do it correctly! I really commend them for this because some people struggle everyday to find foundation shades either light or deep enough or even to match their undertones. This could be the answer to so many peoples prayers! I think it's creative and so awesome to have something so easy to do to find your perfect foundation. I cannot wait to try it! I would definitely recommend this to a friend! For best results, I highly recommend making sure you are in NATURAL lighting. Don't use the lighting from your house inside as I feel that it can really alter the way the phone camera picks up your skin color and undertones. This review was written for a contest but that in no way has swayed or changed my opinion on the app itself!

First of all, I have to say that I was intrigued by this app to begin with because I’ve never seen anything like it. This is perhaps one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen! I feel that this is the beginning of the future of makeup. This app was very easy to use, once installed and opened you are guided by a video and a voice telling you each step. It does state to not use natural light and it calibrates your phone before scanning by using white paper. The scanning process is simple because the voice guides you exactly and helps with each scan. Once completed, it shows you the shade chosen and it’s very simple to share it and purchase it right then and there. If for some reason you dislike the chosen shade you can rescan and try again. If at anytime you have questions check the FAQ section to see if it has already been answered. No luck? No problem, you can email bare minerals with the link provided and they are sure to reply within a timely manner. I definitely think this app is worth while and the shade chosen for me looked accurate! I have reviewed this app as part of a contest; however, the opinions wrote in this review are all my own.

I was seriously expecting this app to throw odd ball colors and shades at me but it didn't, and I love that it didn't need all these certain lights and things and it STILL accurately matched me!!! The only thing I wish it offered was more details about undertones or just gave you a range of 3 colors that are best for you but all in all, Awesome app, IMPECCABLE concept and I know it's only going to grow from here!!!
Okay so here is my final input, This app is GROUNDBREAKING!!! Like We now have a way to shop the right foundation color, while stuffing our faces and watching TV in our PJ’s because once it has been calibrated you can just put in a re order or if you are like me you can recalibrate your skin after a few hours of some good sun tanning! And of course getting my first bottle Free from BareMinerals threw Influenster made purchasing this foundation in a new shade was nothing but a few clicks! The only thing I didn’t like about the app, Is for iPhone X or 8Plus users like myself, it doesn’t work for us yet so I had to use my 12 yr olds iPhone 7 to get it done, and it was my absolute PERFECT Shade👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Definitely a BareMinerals Fan now!!
