App Profile: Jojo's World Spanish

Jojo’s World is a new app that keeps kids entertained and educated throughout 12 levels of play. Follow Jojo as he moves through different environments where the user must tap on various items in the background to find hidden objects and coins, learning over 40 words and phrases in Spanish. Using fun sounds, touch and motion, this educational app game makes language learning fun and easy!

JOJO’S WORLD: THE ADVENTURE

Early Lingo’s Jojo wakes up and realizes that it’s his friend Lulu’s birthday and he must throw a party! The adventure begins when Jojo leaves his tree house and enters Jojo’s World. Clicking on Level 1, an image of a treasure map pops up revealing shaded party items that are earned through play as the user advances through the levels and along the dotted lines of the map. Each level tracks the progress.

Play begins with Jojo holding a notebook that reveals the objects he must find in the current level. A quick tutorial shows the user which objects to click on to discover both the hidden objects and coin rewards. Each time an object is discovered, the word is repeated twice and then again when it shows up in Jojo’s notebook. When the last object in each row is found, the user colors in the object using brush strokes with a finger. When all the objects in the level are discovered, a multiple choice quiz pops up to test the user’s knowledge of the vocabulary. Coins are calculated and a party item is earned. Each level yields a different environment with new features to tap and explore.

CHILDREN LEARN THROUGH PLAY

In this educational app game, kids won’t realize they’re learning another language because they’re engaged through play and having fun. They follow Jojo as he walks through the park and can tap objects within Jojo’s World to discover different words and earn coins. At the end of each level, a mini quiz pops up to test the new vocabulary. The user must complete the multiple-choice quiz before advancing. An additional party item prize is also earned that helps Jojo throw a birthday party for his friend Lulu at the end of the game.
KEY FEATURES
A progress book in the upper left-hand corner allows the user to hear the words repeated and see their progress at any given time.
Words and phrases are repeated several times which is key to language learning.
