My son just opened his box and his came with a big book of instructions. Not sure why some wouldn’t have instructions, maybe it wasn’t brand new? If brand new I would return the whole box if it came with no instructions. Will update about the magic tricks after he does a few and how easy/hard , good/bad they were to do.

There is a trick to get the instructions. People complaining that the app is “useless” couldn’t figure it out.
