Updating my previous review. No other app just works for me like Astro! I’ve literally tried them all, including Boomerang, Trove/Notion, Outlook, Spark and my needs have lead me BACK to Astro. There are still key features missing and that’s why there is four stars instead of five but the lack features don’t outweigh the need for me with an app like this!
Love love love Astro mail. Love the Astrobot AI that helps me get to inbox zero, helps me to answer important emails and lets me know when an email has been opened and much much more! Very easy and simple to work, yet powerful. However, as advanced and powerful as it is it lacks a significant feature that nearly every other email app has, the ability to add ANY email. It’s missing out. I will admit It was one of the reasons I switched my business email to google apps just to use this but it doesn’t work with my native work email and for a non profit I work for so i causes me to have two mail Apps which defeats the purpose! So I just use Outlook which is also amazing but lacks the state of the art features. Hopefully astro mail will step it up, otherwise it’s a good app but with the most important thing missing, it’s just another app that takes up space.

Overall this app is really great. The only downfall about the app is that you can only sign into it with Gmail, G-Suite, or Office 365 accounts, and not other accounts such as Yahoo Mail, or even your own personal Outlook account. I wish the calendar layout would look more like it did in other clients such as Outlook. For example, your events show up only on the left pane, and not on the right, which is annoying since it doesn’t seem proper to have it there, and a big empty space of grey or white to the right. I’d like to see personal accounts to be supported later on, hopefully encryption as well. Other than that, everything is really great. And of course, my favorite feature is being able to send e-mails and requesting read receipts. Which are still a buggy, but I mean, they do get the job done. I wish that they could tell you more information, like for example, if someone re-opens the same email again, and it would tell you once again, or like, which device they opened it on.

I normally don’t write reviews. But I felt the need in this case. I’ve tried at least six premium email apps and Astro is in a league by itself. It does all the work. It is constantly in the background looking for patterns of opened and unopened emails. Asking me if I want to unsubscribe to unsolicited junk mails that are in my inbox. And all I have to do is select yes or no and it does the rest of the work. It asks if emails fromThe same sender can be collected and archived and all I have to do is press yes or no. As I said it does all the work. I don’t have to look for the unsubscribe button at the bottom of the email, Astro does it for me. And these are just some of the basic things that it does. As I said in my intro, Astro is the way that all email will be one day but it is the only one that is available in the market today. If your mailbox is bulging at the seams there is no cure but to try this out. I guarantee you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
