I had the older app. This one seems more user friendly and the search for world war one books seems a plenty - more than enough. However they all seem to be an allied perspective. So far I have not seen any for the pro German side. However, even though, there seems to be some propaganda and popularly written works there are some serious studies on the subject. In this age we live in our understanding of any and all governments, especially during war, goes a lot more deeper than what appears to be a simplistic outlook of the common person in times past. We, the people, are more sophisticated these days and more aware concerning the deceptions that the powers that be have in their obfuscations, deceptions, etc. So I will give a five star for now, and later revisit to again comment after some use of this app.

A title so apropos for a collection that would undermine his invention but in the sense of its form not in its intent. The app makes one raise an eyebrow initially skeptically until a light goes on in ones mind that public domain may be at work in some regard in terms of allowing such a collection in the first place. By design having classics from a world of known authors should be a noble project for preservation of such treasures and why be constrained by land or sea when you can create accessibility in the form of an app. To provide such an opportunity and have it possess aesthetic qualities only enhances or entices one to delve through this trove. This app is an elevator of enrichment that will take one to the top floor or cloud nine depending on your level of immersion. And if that is not your intent it will be. It will lead you to the road less travelled on an excursion that will branch into a plethora of paths with twists and turns leaving you dizzy with delight and delirious from the diction of the words chosen by the late great masters of literature. Hound this hub and let its allure do the rest. To this I do attest!

I actually quite like the interface. It has a nice, clean look. So far, I have downloaded just one book, but not sure I will download any others. Reason? The pages are cut off at the bottom. For all I know, they are cut off at the top as well. At any rate, I can just about make out the bottom line (despite only being able to see the top half of the letters) but it does not then flow to the top of the next page, so I know I am missing part of the text. The page doesn’t scroll vertically, so not sure what to do. I tried adjusting the font size, but the bottom of the page is still cut off. I will try to persevere, but this may be too distracting to use for serious reading. Addendum: I have worked out how to get rid of the bar at the bottom of the page, so pages now flow correctly. but having the bar there by default is not, in my opinion, a good idea since the way to get rid of it is not very intuitive.
