The app is very functional and I love the ability to export official timestamped records so easily. I would really love a dedicated Parenting Log feature. I know you can add notes in the calendar feature but I would love it's own built in log feature where you can quickly add certain things you want to track and create records of (ie. school times, activities, meals, wake and sleep times, medications, potty training, behavioral concerns, etc.). So that each day pre-fills with what you want to track and you can quickly input the values. It would make high conflict co-parenting much easier to have the extra data all in the same place. Some feedback - When exporting chat reports, any documents sent in chat only display the first page of the document in the records. It would be nice to have the option to choose to include all pages in the export. Also when sending documents, it would be nice to be able to review or add one extra stop to make sure you are ready to send. I would like the option to send groups of files rather than one at a time. Also, small problem - I don't know if it's something I've done but I have a notification that will not go away no matter how many times I click on view event. The calendar is still a bit confusing for me and even though it says it can be private I still am unsure what is viewable by the other party. It is an excellent app however and I do prefer it over its competitors.

I love this app and all the details it holds. The calendar is awesome and I like that it has the expenses on it too. I would like for the calendar to have different colors for categories so when you see the month you can tell which days have events and which days have expenses (and other colors coded to other categories like school calendar days). Even without the other parent being involved with the app it’s still very handy to have everything kept in one place. Tracking expenses helps with budgeting as well as showing where money is being spent on your child(ren). I have a separate budgeting app for my everyday bills and spending but it would be nice to have some of the features this app has for expenses (pie charts, expenses broken down by type, etc). If this maker doesn’t already have a budgeting app they should make one. I definitely recommend this app to any parent whether single parent doing it on their own, parents still together, or separate parents who are coparenting. This app is remarkable. I am using it for both of my boys and their fathers a I love that more than one “circle” can be formed in the app. My request to the developer is to find a way for the view for both parents to be similar. My coparent does not see anything the way I do.

…work so well when just one side actually uses it 😅 We haven’t used this app in a few years and only stopped because the toxic, controlling aspect of my husbands ex wife’s life was illuminated and after repairing co-parenting relationships, we no longer needed to use this app. I’m genuinely surprised at how many bad reviews there are for this app, and so many are for very minor things or because it wasn’t meeting a very specific single need of one person. It just seems like so many are kinda being unfair. Keep in mind- this is a FREE app and I challenge you to find another coparenting app that offers as many features as AppClose that are as detailed as these are. I tried and none came close. A couple of my favorite features are that you can add step parents and other caregivers, also that you can tell when and if a message has been read… oh! And nothing can be deleted or edited. I can definitely see how the payment feature could be super beneficial to some families as well, like to have it in actually built into the app. As I said before though, this app and others like it can only be beneficial if both sides of the family are willing to utilize it. But even if not, if you attempt to use it with the other parent in the best interest of your kid(s) and they refuse repeatedly and ignore other attempts at communicating… at minimum, it can act as part of your evidence of failed attempts to communicate and organize things for the kids if you need it for a future court date. All in all, I think AppClose is a pretty solid and reliable coparenting app and is the BEST option of those that are free for sure!
